The deadlift is one of the most widely performed exercises in gyms around the world and is claimed by many to be “the king” of strength exercises.
Do you want to learn more about the ins-and-outs of the deadlift and how to make your deadlift-training more effective? Have you ‘hit the ceiling’ and are no longer making gains on this lift?
Then join us at Desert Barbell for the deadlift clinic and learn the theory and practice behind the deadlift from one of our highly skilled Powerlifting coaches, Dan Edwards. In this 2-hour clinic you will receive a combination of theory and practice, where Dan will spend time with you to assess your deadlift and give you important cues and technique tips that will help you progress further.

As Sports Science major, Dan has been involved in the fitness industry for over 8 years, having worked with a wide-variety of individuals ranging from the general population to professional athletes. He has handled the strength training/coaching of aspiring rugby players at the academy level and also at the professional level whilst studying for his Masters in the UK. During this time he also gained work experience with the national weightlifting team focusing on drilling perfect technique and speed under heavy loads. Coaching the sport of powerlifting allows him to apply his extensive scientific knowledge of strength training, his passion for technical mastery and to cultivate the coach-athlete relationship.
